Privacy Policy

Komodo VPN encrypts the connection between your device and our VPN servers. This policy explains what the VPN service does not record, and the limited data the app sends to the Google services it uses for ads, analytics and crash reports.
The VPN service keeps no activity logs
When you are connected, we do not:
- log your browsing history;
- track the destination of your traffic;
- store the content of your traffic or your DNS queries;
- keep logs of your IP address, session duration or connection timestamps;
- associate any user with specific online activity.
Because we do not keep these records, we cannot share or disclose them.
No account
Komodo VPN does not require registration. We do not ask for your name, email address or phone number.
Data the app sends to third-party services
The app relies on the following Google services. They receive data about how the app is used, never the websites you visit or the traffic you send through the VPN.
- Google AdMob (the free version shows ads): may collect device identifiers, including the advertising identifier (on iOS only if you allow tracking in Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt), your IP address to infer an approximate location, and ad interaction data, to show and measure ads. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland we ask for your consent through Google's consent form, and you can change your choices on the Privacy Options page. Premium removes ads.
- Firebase Analytics (iOS app): app usage events such as screens opened and connections started, an app instance identifier, device model and OS version, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. We use it to understand which features are used.
- Firebase Crashlytics (iOS app): crash reports and diagnostics (stack traces, device model, OS version and app state) so we can fix bugs.
Google processes this data under its own policies: https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never receive your payment details; we only receive the status of your purchase so the app can unlock Premium.
Your choices
- Deny tracking in the App Tracking Transparency prompt (iOS), or turn off ad personalization in your device settings (Android).
- Change your consent choices on the Privacy Options page.
- Subscribe to Premium to remove ads.
- Uninstalling the app stops all data collection by the app.
